This is a piece that I wrote for a great friend - Dónal Lunny. Dónal is without a doubt the biggest influence on my music. His compositions, arrangements and approach to music constantly fascinate me and I have been lucky enough to spend time watching him create and arrange music over the past decade or so. His detail to harmony, rhythm and dynamics are quite unique and I will be forever indebted to him for his generosity in sharing these with me. Dónal has been credited as been at the forefront of the renaissance of Irish music for the last five decades.
